Our Wedding

We met like any other respectable gay couple in Sydney… on a very unrespectable dating app. What followed was twelve months of talking before Cameron finally agreed to meet in person, firmly convinced he was “being sensible” and definitely avoiding another mistake. When Aaron opened the door, we both immediately thought yes, I like what I see and even better, we felt an instant connection. Cameron tried very hard to take things slowly (his rules), but after just four days, Aaron told him he loved him. Cameron knew it was serious shortly after, mainly because Aaron went shopping and came home with a Ralph Lauren coat. As a couple, we’re stubborn (both of us), but deeply loving and respectful. We want the best for each other in everything we do, love tradition, value family, and genuinely enjoy bringing everyone we love into one room for good food, drinks, and a proper celebration. Cameron is organised day-to-day (and always ten minutes late as “it won’t matter”), while Aaron plans the trips and tells Cameron where to be and when. The proposal had been a long time coming as Cameron had been asking for years, so Aaron planned a romantic trip to Tasmania.Days passed with plenty of perfect proposal opportunities… none taken. By the final night in Hobart, Cameron had accepted defeat. The next day, in the tiny town of Ross, dressed very casually (and freezing), Aaron insisted on stopping at a 200-year-old bridge for a photo. Cameron tried to leave. Aaron yelled. Cameron complained. And then Aaron was suddenly on one knee with a ring. Cameron’s first response? “Get off the ground, you’re embarrassing me.” Followed closely by, “No you don’t. You’re lying.”He wasn’t lying.Cameron asked if Aaron was sure.Aaron was.Cameron said yes. And here we are, ready to celebrate with the people we love most.

Attire Guide

No designated drivers required. We’ve organised buses to collect and return guests from five Bowral accommodation hubs, so everyone can fully enjoy the celebrations (and the bar 🍸). To help with transport planning, we’ll be arranging pick-ups and drop-offs from five accommodation locations where the majority of our guests are staying. Just remember to tell us where you’re staying and if you’d like a seat when you RSVP. Below are some links to places near the venue however there are plenty around to choose from.

The 19 welcoming guest rooms offer a perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Those staying at this establishment may keep updated thanks to the Wi-Fi access. Berrima Bakehouse Motel does not operate a 24-hour reception. This establishment's common areas are disability-friendly.

Berrima Bakehouse Motel

Located in Berrima and with Fitzroy Falls reachable within 19 miles, Bendooley Estate has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a restaurant. The property is around 21 miles from Twin Falls Lookout, 23 miles from Belmore Falls and 21 miles from Robertson Heritage Railway Station. The rooms include a terrace with garden views. Briers Country Lodge is located in Bowral, 6 minutes' drive from The International Cricket Hall of Fame and Bradman Oval. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with over 100 free cable channels. Each of the air-conditioned rooms include a refrigerator, a toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. All include an private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Some accommodations offers a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area. A guest laundry is also provided.

Our journey hasn’t exactly followed a traditional timeline, we moved in together after just six months, and Aaron took his time (six years!) to ask the big question. Because of that, we’re lucky enough to already have a home full of everything we need. If you’d like to give a gift, we’d love for it to go towards something truly special, our forever home, where we’ll continue building our life together. In our true style, we’ll have an old red English letter box at the wedding for anyone who would like to leave a gift.
